Who We Are
The leaders in reliable medical records systems
No other organization is more trusted by leading U.S. health care organizations than AMES® when it comes to supplying products and services for health records organization, management, and storage.
That trust had its roots more than 90 years ago, when a Boston postal worker was so distressed by letters damaged during processing that he created a company to make high-quality envelopes. Founded in 1919 in Somerville, Massachusetts, U.S.A., Ames Safety Envelope eventually achieved leadership in stationery and organizational products for hospitals. In modern times, AMES has become the nation’s largest supplier of medical records systems, medical file folders and medical records storage solutions for health care facilities.
The TAB connection
In March 2010, AMES became a TAB company. Founded in 1950, today TAB Products Co. LLC is the premier global supplier of products and services for records management. Headquartered in Mayville, Wisconsin, U.S.A., TAB maintains offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. In the U.S., TAB operates through direct sales and via its dealer network to service leading clients in the financial, legal, medical, pharmaceutical, government, and energy worlds.
The combined health records management experience of TAB and AMES ensures that you will continue to receive the respected product portfolio and high level of service that AMES customers have enjoyed for decades. The TAB connection adds ensured stability as well as fresh products, services, and expertise to AMES medical record system offerings.
The challenges of today
In the current health care records and health information management landscape, the sheer volume of information has reached unprecedented proportions. Compliance and risk management have also attained critical mass. Almost all hospitals, clinics, and practices are reaching for the digital future while simultaneously being required (by regulation, practicality, and sometimes sheer inertia) to hold onto substantial elements of the physical-records past.
The challenging nature of this hybrid environment makes it ever more important to access and manage your critical records quickly and efficiently, while holding down costs and saving valuable space. Thats where AMES medical records systems can help.
The AMES team
In the demanding hybrid medical records space, your solution is only as good as the guidance you get from the person delivering it. Fortunately, your AMES solution originates from a team thats deeply experienced in solving your kind of health care information problems.
